The 2024 51st Annual Cherry Blossom Festival
The Annual Wooster Square Cherry Blossom Festival will be held on Sunday, April 14 from noon to 4:30 p.m. in New Haven’s Wooster Square Park. Admission is free. No rain date.
Live music on the Festival Stage by local groups:
St. Luke's Steel Band, Airborne Jazz, and Carlos y Su Momento.
Great choices from a variety of food trucks and carts, and more!
Bring your own chairs and/or blankets to picnic in the park and enjoy the music and the food.
When will the cherry trees bloom? For the 12th year in a row, we can follow the Cherry Blossom Blog, with comments and photos added daily at woostersquareblossom.blogspot.com.
Supporters: The celebration is produced by Historic Wooster Square Association and Wooster Square Conservancy, with support from the City of New Haven Department of Arts, Culture and Tourism and many generous local businesses, organizations and individuals.
History: The Festival commemorates the planting of 72 Yoshino Japanese Cherry Blossom trees in 1974 by the New Haven Historic Commission in collaboration with the New Haven Parks Department and Wooster Square neighborhood residents.
